Making your profile on an Internet dating website can be quite daunting, your profile should stand out the garner needs as much attention as possible. At least that is what you would think you need! When in fact it's the most truthful profiles that most often court real success.

So, in n effort to great the most exciting profile ever, you are soon tempted to include lots of exciting activities like wing walking, (despite having never done it) just to make you appear a more desirable prospect. Perhaps you chose to mention your many athletic achievements when actually you struggle to walk and chew gum at the same time and your last athletic event was in school. These temptations should be avoided. The reason being that while you will attract attention, it will be from the wrong group of people and your looking for a match not a miss match.
You need to be as honest as you possibly can in your profile because then when the responses to your profile come rolling in you need to know they are interested in the real you!
The one that is clumsy, or scared of the dark or any of your other attributes that you find silly or boring. These might be just the attributes someone else is looking for.

If you still are not convinced and think you want to add information in your profile that is not true consider this.
When you are looking at someone's profile and they state their favorite activity is staying home with a crossword puzzle and good book, you get all excited because this just happens to be your favorite activity as well. So, because there is a "match" you make contact. Then, you ask them about their favorite crossword puzzle and they don't even know what you are talking about. How will you feel? You will feel tricked, duped, and will stop talking to that individual. So, don't do this to someone else. Tricking people into believing you have found a match when the connection is built on lies, is no basis for success in building any kind of relationship and will only serve to turn people away when the truth is revealed. And it will, when they ask you to walk on the wings of their plane!

to help them find you, you must be honest in your profile because the people looking for someone exactly like you with all of your imperfections, likes, dislikes, and everything else that makes you who you are have no other way of finding YOU - their PERFECT MATCH.
So, don't hold back when making an Internet dating profile, but don't lie either. You will benefit significantly by being honest. In addition, you won't hurt anyone else or make them feel like they have been tricked and not trust in online dating anymore. What your grandmother told you about honesty being the best policy was right and that is the best way to create your online dating profile.

Remember the most exciting profile is the one someone can relate their own lifestyle to, as then they have found a match and potential new partner.
